PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — An 11-year-old girl spotted flames from a grass fire heading toward a town home in Northeast Portland and got help to get everyone out safely.
The fire broke out around 11 a.m. in the 9100 block of NE Hassalo. The girl spotted the flames and notified Levi, the maintenance man at the residences. He told KOIN 6 News he helped get people out but the girl "deserves all the credit."
The cause is not known at this time.
